Janice is the founder of 2050 Pictures, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Georgia-based nonprofit. Janice’s work regularly takes her around the world, where she screens her films, leads Q&A sessions, sits on expert panels, and delivers keynote addresses, all with a mission to inspire, inform, and mobilize action on climate and social justice. She has been a participant at three of the five United Nations meetings negotiating the Global Plastics Treaty, Janice is a respected and recurring guest speaker at the historic Chautauqua Institution in New York, where she contributes to ongoing dialogues on pressing global issues, and recently (March 2025) served as panel moderator and speaker at SXSW, one of the largest and most influential festivals in the world.
Her participation at the event not only highlighted her expertise in environmental advocacy but also provided a platform to discuss innovative approaches to achieving net-zero emissions. Engaging with industry leaders, scientists, and policymakers, she underscored the urgency of tackling climate change while showcasing the groundbreaking technologies featured in the series.
